Wolf .45 Ammo in Stock at AIM Surplus under $.30 per rnd.

http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/W...30grn_FMJ.html

Just figured I'd provide a link for those that hadn't seen yet. They came in stock last Thursday. This is the first Wolf .45 ammo I have seen in quite some time. With a decent price considering.

This is steel cased ammo.

Will it harm a Springfield 1911?

Couldn't say, I shoot it out of my Glock 21 all day long though. Well all day long when I could afford it, now I just buy it and horde it.

Yeh, steel case. How would that hold up for hoarding in my basement? Wouldn't it start to rust after awhile? I'd keep it in ammo boxes with good gaskets, but still?

Yup, that's why the Russian military switched to brass casings.
Aw, I can't be a total dick.
They're coated and sealed. Ammo boxes in cool temps will last till the cows come home, or for a coon's age-whichever is longer.

Agreed. With all the lacquer on them, I don't think Wolf ammo will ever rust!

To put too fine a point on it, I think it's a plastic (polymer to you tech savvy) coating these a daze. Less sticky at high RPMs........so to speak......

As I've said before, cut out the unnecessary cost (of actually buying Wolf Non-performance Ammunition) and just pour shellac down your barrel.

I'm interested. Do you think AIM would allow me to "Take a Digital Picture" of my drivers license and email that to them? Seems like it should work if I crop up the picture size.

That should be just fine. From their webpage on first time ammo orders, see:
http://www.aimsurplus.com/websiteorders.htm

Website Orders: (please complete the following steps in order)

1. Place your online ammunition order. Remember to fill out the order form completely to insure proper processing. Make sure to double check your address, telephone number, and email address for typos. You are responsible for any UPS or US Mail surcharges that result from incomplete/incorrect address information.

2. Upon completion of of your online order you will be sent to the Receipt page. It is on the Receipt page that you will be able to upload digital images of your Federal and/or State Photo Identification. Simply click on one of the two links, and use the Browse button to navigate through your computer to the specific image(s). Please make sure to adhere to the image format (extension) and size guidelines. Once you have located the correct image files on your computer, click the upload file(s) button and your are done! It is a good idea to save, or Print the Receipt page, and keep it for your records. If you are unable to upload your required Identification at the time of order, or wish to fax this information, see step 3 below.

3. Email, Fax, or Mail a legible copy of your Federal and/or State Identification with the Order Number given on the Receipt page. When faxing your photo ID it helps to enlarge it a couple of times on a photocopier first, as well as lightening a dark copy. When emailing a scan or digital photo of your photo ID it is important to keep the image at a reasonable size. A width of 400 to 500 pixels with low to medium resolution is ideal. If the address on the photo identification is different than the order address, please include a short explanation as to why.

Please submit the above information to:
id@aimsurplus.com
Fax: 1-(513)-424-9970
AIM, Inc
3801 Lefferson Rd
Middletown, OH 45044

4. After your initial order, the above information will be kept on file for future orders. This information will be saved under the billing Name and Zip code on the initial order. If you move, or have a change of billing address before your next order, you will need to resubmit the above information as if it was a new order

If you are lucky enough to find them, Walmart is still selling Winchester White Box (100 round packs) at 30 cents per round.

I just scanned mine then emailed it. As long as your camera is a decent one I doubt it will be a problem.

These are in FL, and it's rare that you find them at all but if you do it's only 1 box.
